Who Cares

There is no reason in this world that any animal, dog, cat or other, should be without a home, have offspring unfettered, be treated unkindly, or starve to death. Today, I saw a female dog who had obviously recently had pups running around sniffing the ground, obviously in search of something to eat. She was bone thin and pitiful. I tried to call her over to give her something to eat but she was too afraid of me to come. Needless to say I was really upset. I don't know where she came from or where her puppies are located. I can only imagine what will become of her. It's a shame.
