Gun Shy

Today I was sent home early from my first job, had my second job canceled because the building we test in closed for the pending bad weather, and my third job canceled for the same reason. Schools closed, daycares shut the doors, and state agencies sent their employees home early. After all that, we didn't end up with much more than a little wind and rain. I understand that with the recent deadly tornado across the river, everyone gets nervous, but we can't live our lives afraid of every little thing that may or may not happen. Although I appreciate the time off, I feel like our area overreacted.
