I'm kind of glad today is over.

Breakdown

A great weather weekend has come to a close and not much got accomplished around Chez Ragged. I did get the yard mowed and weed eated and I trimmed away some of the pesky vines that grow on the east side of the house, but that was about it in terms of yard work. We got out our porch chairs and sat in them quite a bit with Freddy on one or the other of our laps and we did some grilling as well. We watched some movies/tv series from Blockbuster and of course Ragged did some knitting. We finally did some geocaching and logged our 90th find. I took a couple of naps and did some new house perusing too. Sounds like a lot, but it really wasn't.

Tomorrow, I have to go in to work for half a day, actually just 3 hours. I know I haven't shut up about the working at home thing, but it is just so damn great I can hardly stand it. Spring is nice, but homeworking is nicer.

Freddy Fro

Finally the weather has warmed and we spent Friday evening outside with Freddy and Ragged got some good pictures of him.

Is This Seat Taken?

One of the difficulties of working at home is when you get up to get something to drink or use the bathroom, there's always a cat eager to curl up in your residual warm spot.

Human Touch

Today was one of two days during the month I will be required to be in the office all day. After two and a half days working at home, it was kind of nice to be around my co-workers again. I never thought those words would come out of my fingertips, but there I've said it. I won't have to go back to my office until Monday and that will for a short period, then I won't have to go back until Friday for a short period. This is almost too good to be true.

Day One

I just have to say it. Working at home is awesome. Rudy called me to check up on me and I was actually working, just in the comfort of my own home. I actually am accomplishing stuff. My concern is the availability of food. I'm liable to gain 50 lbs in the first week. I'm looking forward to tomorrow when the temperature will hit 70 degrees and I can have a window open.

Progress

Ragged and I spent part of the morning getting my home office set up. We haven't gotten everything in its final resting place, but we're getting there. I'll take care of alot of it this week. It's hard to believe it actually has happened. It's exciting.

The picture is of Cooper just seconds after he learns his daddy will be home with him all the time.

Gulp!

Jeepers! Ragged called and said she would be home a full 12 hours soon than expected. I am only halfway through my to-do list, so I have to get to work. It's so hard to work on days like this. I just want to curl up and sleep. I have to keep reminding myself that today is only Saturday and I get to work from home starting on Monday.

Moving On Up

Last night I was feeling so tired and achy that I could barely summons a coherent thought to type up on the blog. Today, I'm feeling better, though still tired and my right calf almost started hurting again. I don't know what the deal is. I've convinced myself I have a blood clot and it will eventually go to my brain or heart, whichever is more fatal. Pessimism is not fun people, despite how it might seem.

Ragged is off to Greencastle (wherever the hell that is). I hope she doesn't get into distress because I would have no idea how to get to her. Anyway, I will spending the weekend at home alone. It always sounds more fun then it actually ends up being.

I want to thank Needles and Pilot again for a great weekend. I am still working on the food we had leftover from their stay. We even got to see Rudy and Brando for a bit. It was the first time they had visited our home and I think after all the one-upping was complete, they have worse neighbors than we do. I'm happy to have lost that competition.

Today I got the green light on working at home. My boss has scarcely left my office after delivering the news before I started throwing stuff in boxes. I gathered the majority of my stuff up today and put it in my car. The remainder I will get tomorrow. I expect to spend tomorrow afternoon putting my home office in some semblance of order. Ragged and I will have to do some heavy duty furniture rearranging which will likely result in my trusty loveseat going into storage, for a short time with any hope. I have some furniture at work that I need to find a home for too, but I will likely leave them there for the office's next occupant to use.

Must Blog

The nice long weekend with Needles and Pilot preceeded a long, trying week at work. I have been so zonked this week that I could barely blog. Tomorrow Ragged heads out on her knitty weekend with Needles and Jenny From the Blog. I don't feel like I've seen her at all this week, so I'm going to miss her. This afternoon and I've had a terrible cramping in my right calf. I'm hoping a little ibuprofen will help me get some sleep. Goodnight, John Boy...

Shangri-La

Big doings are astir this weekend at Chez Ragged. I would call it Chez Cynical, but I know it's actually Chez Ragged. Anyway, we are going to spend some quantity and quality time Needlefingers and Dirty Pilot with a possible cameo by Yin, Yuri, Brando, and Rudy. Ragged and I have been all ascramble getting everything ready. I did a food run during lunch today and got partially prepared for entertainment and tomorrow I plan to use my gift certificate for a car cleaning. Ragged is getting the house ready. I took Friday off, as we only get half a day off for Good Friday, but sadly I have to go to my third job for an hour that morning. Shouldn't affect our plans too much though. Too bad the weather is going to be cold, but that just lends itself to caffeine buzzes, naps, overeating, and zombie-like TV watching. It's like I'm going to heaven this weekend. Oh and Happy Birthday to Needlefingers. Were we all borned in 1973 besides Ragged? I can't member.
